Christine Walker established The Design Guild in 2012. She saw that there was a better way than the traditional agency or freelance models to build creative teams and produce the highest quality communications. My background

Before founding The Design Guild, I worked as a consultant for commodities and CPG brands. Prior to that I was VP of Marketing for a multinational technology company. I was responsible for articulating the brand and regulating its use across nine business divisions. I spent fifteen years as a creative director at a partnership promotions agency establishing and building CPG brand partnerships. I worked as a location portrait photographer. Worked as a graphic designer for a large scale graphics house. Worked in my parent’s gallery as a kid.

I love the work I do because effective communication can be transformative. The creative process is always a teacher. And the people I work with are exceptional; they stretch me to be my best.

When on a team, I tend to…

Have a lot of questions. I like to challenge assumptions.

Working for the Guild is great for me because…

I work best when I have the flexibility to pursue the creative muse when it strikes.

Favorite things to do when I’m not working

More about Christine

I have been married to John for 30 years! We have two sons, Jackson (26 yrs.) and Joseph (24 yrs).

Three things I love: my husband John, good food and travel!

Joseph, my younger son, is an artist and a chef in training. He works as a line cook at The Grange in Sacramento.

Jackson, my older son, commercial construction project engineer and music promoter (check out @rinsedsf). This was us playing on the beach at the Oregon coast.

My Dad, not really Dad material. But he was a gifted structural packaging designer.

Capt. MA Clark, an extraordinary woman. She had this note taped to the inside of her medicine chest when she died. I miss her.
